Originally from Montevideo, Uruguay, Leo studied architecture in New York, Los Angeles, Italy and Greece and received his Bachelor of Architecture from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.

He has worked for several firms in Los Angeles and Japan.

Previous employers include Frank Gehry Architects, Johnson-Fain Architects, Kajima Design and The Jerde Partnership.
He established LGstudio in 2003 where he is the principal architect and designer of projects ranging from residential to large scale, international mixed-use.

Senior Designer-Participated in projects as a design team member on several International projects.

Traveled abroad to participate in project workshops and to oversee quality of project delivery. Namba Park, Osaka Japan Cybercity, Hong Kong

Kajima Design – Osaka, Japan
Intermediate designer- Collaborated on design projects throughout Japan, as part of a design team.
Represented Kajima in its collaboration w/ other international firms on urban design competitions Participated in seminars and workshops to improve language skills and cultural knowledge. Office tower projects, Osaka Japan.

1987 to 1989
Designer- Worked as an Intermediate Designer directly with firm’s partners on commercial, office towers & master planning projects.
